Electrical/Electronic Engineering Lecturer
College location: East Surrey College (Redhill)
Salary: £24,071 - £34,282 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)
Hours: Full time (37 hours/week)
Hourly pay rate: £29.18ph (£24.48ph + £4.70ph as payment for annual leave)
Hours: Flexible (zero-hours) with up to full time hours available
We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Electronic/Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join lead our Engineering department.
In this exciting role you will be delivering teaching across our BTEC courses up to and including Level 3. There may also be the requirement of teaching Levels 4 and 5 dependant on qualifications and experience.
Working closely with the Head of Department, Programme Manager and the rest of the Engineering team, you will have the chance to share your industry knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor, promote attendance, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area.
The successful candidate must have:
A full teaching qualification such as a PGCE, DET/DTLLS or Cert ED
A minimum of a level 3 qualification within Engineering (but Level 5 would be ideal)
Teaching experience (preferably within Further Education)
It would also be desirable for the employee to hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance, and an Assessing qualification such as a Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
