The Business Development Department has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Employment and Skills Advisor to join the very successful Team. We have an excellent reputation delivering both Employment and Skills and Apprenticeship provision and we now need someone to join the team to support this continued success.
You will have the responsibility to work directly with unemployed and economically inactive participants by effectively delivering a holistic, personalised support service, which empowers participants with the self-belief, skills, motivation and confidence to enable them to progress into employment, self-employment or further training/education.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience of coaching, have the ability to negotiate and agree ‘SMART’ objectives with participants, provide constructive feedback and positively transform negative behaviours. You will need a good knowledge and understanding of the Local Labour Market, Sector Skills Gaps, local Employment & Skills provision, Specialist Support Networks, and Education & Training providers. You should have experience of engaging employers to support clients into employment and have excellent communication, administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively and contribute positively and creatively as part of a team.
