Equine Groom (Full-time and Part-time positions available Permanent, All Year Round)
We currently have exciting full time and part time contracted opportunities for talented, highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our yard team. Successful candidates should have previous experience of working on a yard, be able to work to an industry speed and have a keen eye for detail. The successful candidates will be required to work under the guidance of the Yard Manager and Equine Yard Technicians aiding in the supervision of students and the care of our horses. Therefore, essential to these roles is ensuring high standards with regards to equine welfare, the student experience and the maintenance of the facilities here at BCA.
For either role the ideal candidates will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, a broad knowledge of the equine industry and evidence of working with young people. An Equine qualification and BHS Stages 1 & 2, or a willingness to gain these, is also desirable.
The current work pattern for the full time role is 5 days over 7, including one weekend day per week and an evening lock up (working days are likely to be Sunday - Wednesday and Fridays, with Thursday and Saturday as days off). Alternatively, BCA also have part time roles available for individual or both weekend days per week.
