About the role:
Are you looking for flexible work which has an active contribution to young peoples' futures? Are you punctual, flexible, reliable and a confident communicator? If so, we would like you to join our Examinations team as an Examinations Invigilator. The main purpose of this role is to facilitate a smooth examinations process, contributing towards the overall running of the examinations series.
This is a flexible role, where you will be asked to work at both campuses, for a variety of exams. The number of hours you work are flexible, however, there are busy times throughout May and June when we would expect you are available to invigilate. You will receive comprehensive training to ensure you are fully aware of the processes and rulings involved in examinations.

In this role, you will:
- Invigilation of candidates across both New College Swindon campuses
- Administering exam candidates’ entry and departure to and from the exam hall
- Ensuring exam regulations are fully adhered to
- Maintaining silence and discipline during exams
- Being vigilant for cases of malpractice and accurately report such incidents to the lead invigilator or examinations officer immediately
- Informing the lead invigilator or examinations officer, as soon as possible, following any incident or unusual occurrence
Qualifications and experience required:
- Level 2 qualification in English, and Maths
- Administrative experience
- Experience of dealing with needs of varied stakeholders
- Working with people of varied levels of ability and outlook

On appointment, you will be placed at the salary point aligned to a number of factors, which include, but are not limited to, qualifications, previous relevant experience, current salary and market forces.
