Cambridge Regional College has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Administrator (Sales Ledger) to join our Finance team based in Cambridge and Huntingdon. You will join us on a full time basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary in the region of £20943 - £22,890 per annum.

About the role:
Based in Cambridge with occasional visits to our Huntingdon Campus. You will be part of the Finance team of 17 as part of the Credit Control function. You will work closely with the Senior Credit Controller and report to the System Accountant.
You will produce accurate monthly Aged Debtor reports from our Finance Accounting system for the Credit Control team to work on. This will involve raising invoices from manual requests and processing files from our Student database that also includes receipts. You will also be required to input Direct Debit detail for relevant students and create a schedule of Direct Debit collection dates – AUDDIS and Direction Debit collection files to send to the bank.
You will be responsible for analysing Student Debtors to enable Senior Credit Controller to target areas of debtors. This will involve accessing internal and external systems and liaising with other finance staff and departments. Reconciling the Sales Ledger Control Account, receipt Control Account and the Finance Accounting System with the Student System are also an essential part of this role.
What we are looking for in our role:
We are looking for an experienced data administrator with analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to extensively analyse data and produce reports. Someone who is familiar with computerised accounting packages, preferably symmetry, who can make the system work for them. You should be quick and keen to learn after training and competent at using all Microsoft Office applications such as (Word, Excel (Pivots, Vlookups and Complex Formulas), Outlook, Mail merge). Having a proactive approach with ability to problem solve using own initiative is essential. You should have a proven ability to challenge and reprioritise tasks and also be able to work well on your own as well as part of a team. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and an innate attention to detail and ability to understand, map and identify improvements to processes.
