Contract: Part-Time, 1 year Fixed Term Contract to August 2021
Hours: 21 hours per week (14 hours as FLA and 50% as MFL Instructor)
Salary: FLA - £12,801 per annum, MFL Instructor – UQ Pay scale

The successful MFL Department at Thomas Deacon Academy are looking to appoint a Foreign Language Assistant and an MFL Instructor to join their enthusiastic, committed and supportive team. The successful applicant will be required to work with students, providing appropriate support for one-to-one classes and small groups of students of any ability to help increase their confidence in the appropriate language and prepare students for examinations. The successful candidate as an MFL Instructor will take a small number of lessons within the MFL timetable.
The Trust would welcome applications from candidates interested in either the Foreign Language Assistant role or MFL instructor role only, as well as those interested in both aspects of the roles.

The successful candidate must have some experience of working with KS3, 4 and 5 students. Candidates interested in the Foreign Language Assistant role must be a native language speaker of Spanish. The post(s) would suit a candidate who has the desire to work towards teacher training and is looking to gain experience in a UK school setting.
