Due to growth in pupil numbers, a well-qualified and inspiring teacher is required to teach key stage 3 and GCSE (with the ability to teach A-Level mathematics an advantage) starting in September 2023. We would consider applications for both full or part time working.
Applicants will need to demonstrate strong subject knowledge, contagious enthusiasm for mathematics and an effective, nurturing teaching style. You would be joining a vibrant department focused on the mathematical experience each pupil receives. As a result, over 20% of our sixth form go on to read mathematics or mathematical related subjects at university.
The role could suit an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT). If you are looking to begin your career in teaching, Claremont Fan Court School has a strong reputation for valuing and supporting early career teachers. First class support will be provided from your ECT mentor and line manager, alongside the ECT co-ordinator and assessor, as you complete your two year induction programme.
We’re a happy, well-resourced school in an outstanding setting. A willingness to contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the school is essential. In return you can expect all the benefits of a thriving independent school: a competitive and progressive salary, pension, professional development, laptop, cycle scheme, lunches in term time and free parking.
Further details of the role and how to apply can be found under the ‘working at Claremont’ link on our website.
Closing date: 9.00am Wednesday 22 March 2023
Please note that we reserve the right to conduct interviews prior to the closing date. Therefore, early applications are encouraged.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 March 2023
