About this Functional Skills Trainer role:
You’ll get to work at both sites, and even other counties.
You will join us on a full-time basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of between £23,000- £28,000 per annum, plus benefits.
Within our Employability and Traineeship team, you will be instrumental in developing the future workforce through supporting all of our learners to develop the necessary and essential skills and knowledge to be successful.
You will provide high quality education and develop a provision which enables learners to successfully progress to their chosen destination, whatever that may be.
The purpose of this role is to oversee day to day delivery of the functional skills as well as support the delivery to all students as a team, delivering personal and social skills, employability, CV, Interview skills, job applications etc.
This role is utterly rewarding.
What we are looking for in a Functional Skills Trainer:
We are looking for someone who has a passion for teaching young people, someone who has experience of working with young adults preferably in Schools/Colleges or Youth/Social Services and you should have recent experience teaching Functional skills English and Maths, the ability to engage different learners through a range of teaching resources and a recognised teaching qualification, or working towards one.
We are really hot on innovative teaching methods so your IT skills will need to be good as some of what you may need to be taught online.
You’ll want to use a range of technology tools and software which supports our innovative blended delivery model.
