Gap Year Sport Assistant
Accountable to Director of Sport
Fix Term Contract, Part-Time
Start Date: September 2022 (start date negotiable)
We are looking for Gap Year / Graduate Sport Assistant who will perform a supporting role in the successful and effective running and development of Sir William Perkins's School Boat Club. They will work under the Director of Sport. The post holder will be responsible for assisting the delivery of PE lessons and Co-curricular sport across all year groups. They will also work closely with the Director of Sports in order to support the development of School Teams. Netball and Hockey are the major sports at Sir William Perkins’s School and the post holder will be expected to specialise in at least one of these sports.
We would love to hear from you if you have the ability to:
• Experience of playing/coaching netball or hockey at a high level.
• Be able to umpire netball or hockey at a good standard.
• Ability to create a stimulating and safe learning environment, which fosters engagement, energy and excellence.
• Previous experience of working with children or young adults.
And if you also have:
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
