Gap Year Sport Assistant
Accountable to the Director of Sport
Part-time, fixed term contract
Start date: ASAP
We are looking for a Gap Year/Graduate Sport Assistant who will perform a supporting role in the successful and effective running and development of Sir William Perkins's School PE Department.
You will work under the Director of Sport and will be responsible for assisting the delivery of PE lessons and co-curricular sport across all year groups.
You will also work closely with the Director of Sport to support the development of the School's Sporting Teams.
Netball and Hockey are major sports at our School and you will be expected to specialise in at least one of these sports.
If you are passionate and enthusiastic about sport, have excellent organisational and time management skills with:
- experience of playing/coaching netball and/or hockey at a high level;
- ability to umpire netball and/or hockey at a good standard;
- ability to create a stimulating and safe learning environment which fosters engagement, energy and excellence; and
- previous experience of working with children or young adults.
