As part of an ongoing drive to ensure learners receive outstanding GCSE provision, Barnsley College is seeking to recruit talented English GCSE specialists. The successful candidate(s) will join a specialist team focusing upon providing consistently excellent GCSE provision to learners of all ages.
GCSE English Teacher
18.5 hours per week, permanent
£11,492 per annum (Performance related pay up to £32,642)
The main duties of the post holder will be:
• Providing innovative, outstanding and engaging teaching, learning and assessment of GCSE English across different sites of the college.
• Ensuring progress of all learners from accurate starting points, high quality assessment and feedback and attainment of end qualifications.
• Maintaining the college’s outstanding track record for learner achievement.
You must have a minimum of a teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent level qualification) and a successful history of delivering GCSE English within either the FE or secondary sector.
