Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a passionate Graphic Designer to join our creative team in our ONCAMPUS division, part of the larger Cambridge Education Group.
The new Graphic Designer will primarily support the marketing, sales and communications strategies of CEG’s academic brands (ONCAMPUS) through the designing, developing and executing of both large and small creative briefs to a high standard, across multiple channels and platforms. The post-holder will be responsible for creating graphical and multimedia assets for marketing.
With a degree in Graphic Design/Design or equivalent experience, the Graphic Designer will undertake design jobs from start to finish, design and edit documents for print and screen, based on each unit’s brand guidelines. The successful candidate will be able to articulate ideas visually, with supporting verbal/written case as they research concepts and options for materials, processes and technologies.
The post holder will demonstrate good written and oral communication skills required to understand team needs and deliver the best for them in terms of creativity. The Graphic Designer will discuss and agree design brief and schedule with marketing teams and other stakeholders.
The role is on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover), full-time basis. The location of the role is in Cambridge (United Kingdom) with a Hybrid Working schedule (2 days in the office, 3 days working from home). Key responsibilities:
- Design and edit documents for print and screen, based on each unit’s brand guidelines
- Support marketing team in the creation and maintenance of brand guidelines
- Work in a wide range of formats and media, from standard A-sizes brochures through to large format printing, merchandising materials and 3D projects such as interiors.
- Person Specification & experience we look for:
- Experience using industry standard applications, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro
- Sound knowledge of web and print standards
- Experience in preparing documents for print
- Experience in building documents in MS Office
- Good typographical and illustration skills
- Ability to manage projects to meet tight deadlines
- Proactive and able to take responsibility for areas of work
