HE Lecturer/Course Manager in Animal Sciences
£25,080 (L6) - £28,639 (L9) per annum
Fixed Term Contract until 30th June 2020 (applicants seeking part-time will be considered)
This is an exciting time for our University Centre Reaseheath as our Higher Education programmes continue to grow and develop. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team of teaching staff who are genuinely passionate about their subject and about supporting every student to reach their full potential. Working within the University Centre, the successful candidate should expect to deliver across a range of Animal and Equine Science based degree programmes, but we would be particularly interested in someone with expertise in areas such as animal behaviour/psychology, human-animal relationships, animal assisted interventions, canine behaviour and general animal biology.

The successful candidates will hold a degree and a postgraduate qualification (minimum of MSc) in an animal science discipline. They need to be confident speaking to groups in a way which is engaging and informative, be able to create high-quality teaching and assessment materials and willing to act in a pastoral capacity as a personal academic tutor to a group of undergraduates. Good team-working and communication skills are essential. Part-time contracts will be considered.
Please note these roles constitute ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidates will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment.
