A fantastic opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of the current post-holder, for a new and dynamic Head of Curriculum to join our team. We are an ambitious and forward-looking educational charity, based in Surrey, but with a national and international profile of qualifications delivered to young people and adults who are members of voluntary youth organisations. We deliver highly appropriate and inclusive vocational qualifications focused largely on team building, leadership and management. We are passionate about our learners who are at the heart of all we do.
As Head of Curriculum, you will be joining CVQO at an exciting time as we embed the development and delivery of a curriculum which caters for young learners from primary level through to adults at Level 7. You will have the opportunity to lead and develop our already successful team. You will report to the Deputy Chief Executive and you will be responsible for both the Curriculum Development Team and Teaching and Learning Team, supporting the delivery of programmes which include BTEC, ILM and City and Guilds qualifications.
As well as developing curriculum policy, you will be responsible for the high quality of teaching and learning across all programmes; ensuring that they meet the Internal and External Quality Assurance standards as required by the Quality Department, Awarding Organisations and External Stakeholders (e.g. ESFA and Ofsted). Managing the team, resources, delivery, achievement and progression, and further developing our curriculum will be essential aspects of the role. You will also ensure that all learners receive the support they need to achieve their goals, regardless of ability or additional need.
Key to your success will be your ability to draw on senior or strategic experience as an excellent communicator to lead a strong and enthusiastic team. In addition, you will have extensive experience of working in a range of educational settings and share our vision of a curriculum that is innovative, learner focused, caring and supportive.
Closing date – Applications will be considered on receipt.
