The Governors of Ysgol Pen Coch would like to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Headteacher from April 2020.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed professional and senior leader in a specialist setting. Ysgol Pen Coch is the county provision for pupils aged 2 – 11 with severe and complex special educational needs and currently has 99 pupils on roll. The school is co-located on the site with Flint Gwynedd Primary School and is also geographically close to Ysgol Maes Hyfryd, the county’s specialist secondary provision with whom strong transition links have been established.
Ysgol Pen Coch has an established and committed team of teachers and support staff who work together to maintain a wonderful ethos in the school. The school is categorised as green and as a forward thinking learning establishment, it is a Pioneer school for both professional development and curriculum. Strong links have also been established with universities in both England and Wales which serve to further inform and develop practice. Multi-agency working is an integral part of specialist school working and the school has well established relationships with the teams of professionals who work with the children and their families.
