Pay range SO 1 - point 23 - 25 pro rata (32.5 hours per week term time only plus 5 training days)

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and creative HLTA who wants to make a difference. If you, like us, are passionate about improving the life chances of our young people, then this could be the right place for you. West SILC is a very successful all age generic special school.
You will offer us:
• Outstanding practice in relation to teaching children with moderate learning difficulties at low primary expectations (and some additional needs e.g. Downs syndrome, Autism, SEMH, speech, language and communication needs…)
• The ability to plan and deliver life skills lessons focused on preparing our young people for adulthood– this role would suit a sound primary practitioner, as well as one with a secondary background
• Experience of (or an enthusiasm to gain experience of) the ASDAN qualification
• The skills to deliver engaging and fun learning in a range of subjects across the curriculum
• Experience of differentiating learning and inclusion of SEN children
