The Independent Learning Support department are recruiting for an ILS Coordinator.
The main responsibilities of the role would be to coordinate the day-to-day running of the Independent Learning Support department. You will provide effective and motivational leadership and line management to a team of Learning Support Assistants and Communication Support Workers across both campuses to ensure a quality support service is delivered within specific curriculum areas.
Facilitate working with curriculum areas/ parents/ carers/multi-agency partners. Work with the Learning Services Manager to ensure that the curriculum area meets college objectives through delivering outstanding quality of student experience.
You will ensure that the support for students with identified learning needs is tracked and monitored for timeliness and effectiveness.
To be considered for this post you will need to demonstrate the following;
- General standard of education to A Level/Level 3
- Experience of managing staff/team
- Experience of supporting students with specific additional needs e.g. sensory impairment challenging behaviour, dyslexia and/or Autism/Aspergers Syndrome within an educational/similar environment
