The IT Service Desk is the central point of contact for all IT related incidents and service requests across the Newham College Group. The role of IT Senior Desktop Support Engineer is to provide first and second line support to staff and students across all College sites and take leading support role for all Support Engineers.
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsibility and accountable for timely resolution of IT service desk requests, ensuring that the IT services offer is communicated clearly and positively, and engaging.
The successful candidate will have experience of resolving IT service issues and building working relationships with customers and stakeholders and has the ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions and use IT service desk management systems.
We welcome applications from candidates with hands on experience with Windows/Mac OS environments and working knowledge of Microsoft client and server software applications including knowledge of network security best practices and anti-virus programs.
