Lead Internal Verifier - Engineering
Salary: £28,273 - £29,946 per annum
Location: Bridgwater Campus
Engineering is an outstanding Department that has seen considerable success in all aspects of Teaching, Learning and Assessment. We deliver a wide range of educational and training programmes for full time, part time and employer sponsored students up to and including HE. Programmes include: Foundation, Advanced and Higher Engineering Apprenticeships, Engineering Standards, L2 NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations, Engineering GCSE, BTEC Diplomas and Extended Diplomas in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aeronautical and Electrical Engineering, C&G L3 qualifications in Welding and Fabrication, Maintenance and Production, Foundation Degrees and HNCs in Mechanical, Electronics and Manufacturing. We have particular expertise in CAD, CNC, Robotics, Welding and Fabrication and Instrumentation and Control.
We work in partnership with employers to ensure the provision is of the highest quality and relevant to industry needs. Employers we work with include, MoD, Thales, Atkins, Cavendish Nuclear, EDF Energy, SSE and Refresco. We are continually adapting and adding to our curriculum offering in order to meet the strong and growing employer demand.
The Department also delivers a substantial amount of contract commercial work for employers. All of this is delivered in the outstanding state of the art Engineering Facilities located in our Energy Skills Centre and Advanced Engineering Centre at Bridgwater.
We are looking to appoint a full time Lead Internal Verifier to coordinate all quality aspects and compliance with awarding bodies for the Engineering department. The role will oversee all assessment practices for Engineering students to ensure the timely achievement of qualifications. Successful applicants will have previous experience of doing this role and have relevant up to date industry experience.
