Salary: Scale 3/4, £ 15,847 - £ 17,327 per annum, (FTE: £21,591 – £23,607 per annum)
Hours: 29 hours per week, Term Time plus 4 weeks, plus INSET days
Location: VPC, Carshalton SM5 2EJ
Contract: 1 year fixed term contract
Orchard Hill College is a non-residential National Specialist College for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. We are looking for Learning & Health Assistants to assist in the provision of all health care support for our students to ensure their well-being is maintained at all times. This will include nutrition and hydration, including gastrostomy management, hygiene and giving learners medication.
You will be operating specialist equipment including hoists and gastrostomy pumps.
You must have an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in health and social care, and experience of working, caring or voluntary work with people who have disabilities.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to maintain accurate records and be able to assist our students sensitively and safely.
