Lambeth College requires Learning Assistants to support learners on mainstream courses. We cater for learners with a range of support needs, which includes ASD, communication, learning and behaviour difficulties.
The selected applicants will work 1:1 with a number of learners across the mainstream provision. The main skills required will be resilience, consistency and the ability to build a good relationship. Previous experience within a SEN college would be advantageous. As well as supporting learners academically, you will also work on self-esteem and social skills.
Applicants should have a background of working in a support role and a minimum of level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
Lambeth College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As part of our safeguarding commitment, appointment to any post is subject to receipt of a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure.
