LEARNING MENTORS in English, Mathematics and Science (3 different roles)
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cheam Academies Network as a Learning Mentor in one of English, Mathematics or Science.
This is a non-teaching post which will give the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to work closely with young people, supporting them in their school life and helping them to catch up with missed learning as a result of the Covid 19 crisis.
This is a one year post, starting 7th September 2020 and ending 31st August 2021
Salary will be based on CAN salary scale point 14 (£22,027 full time equivalent, £16,840 actual pro-rata salary). The post is for 33 hours per week, term time only (188 days). The working day will be as requested between the hours of 8.00 am and 4.00 pm.
As a Learning Mentor, you will work under the direct instruction of teaching / senior staff within the subject area i.e. one of, English, Maths or Science, although you may also be assigned to other subject areas if this supports students’ learning and matches with your subject knowledge or skill set.
Cheam Academies Network (CAN) is made up of two schools within the London Borough of Sutton. Cheam High School is located in Cheam, SM3 and Oaks Park High School is located in Carshalton, SM5. The successful candidates will be assigned to either school.
