Learning Support Assistant - Additional Learning Support
(Full-time or Part-time vacancies available, Term Time Working, Fixed term until June 2022)
If you seek an opportunity for a role where every day is completely different this may well be the job for you! We have an opportunity for a talented, highly motivated and dedicated individual to join BCA working as a Learning Support Assistant within our Additional Learning Support department. In this role you may work supporting students across the whole curriculum delivered at the college rather than in a specific department, this will include working within the Maths and English departments.
Working alongside specialist tutors and vocational lecturing staff, the successful candidate will provide an outstanding learning experience for our students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
This is an exciting opportunity to offer in-class and, in some instances, out of class support to learners with a range of learning needs. The successful candidate will have knowledge and awareness of a variety of approaches to supporting learners and experience of similar work with post-16 learners and/or supporting students with GCSE Maths & English would be useful.
This person will have a can-do attitude and a positive outlook. They will be flexible in their approach to working with different students and staff, be willing to give new challenges a go and seek personal development.
