Learning Support Assistant – Maths
(Full Time, Term Time, Fixed Term until 24th June 2022)

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, energetic and dedicated individual to join the Maths Department at BCA to work alongside specialist tutors and vocational lecturing staff to provide an outstanding learning experience for our mainstream students. This is an exciting opportunity to offer in-class and, in some instances, out of class support to learners with a range of learning difficulties, disabilities and differences within the Department.
You will need knowledge and awareness of a variety of approaches to supporting learners inclusive of those that may have emotional/behavioural challenges. You must be a confident communicator, able to work on your own initiative as well as within the team to find the best ways to support our students to an excellent standard. Experience of similar work with post-16 learners and/or supporting students with GCSE Maths would be useful.
