Learning Support Assistant
Proportional contract – 0 – 18 hours a week for 32 – 44.2 weeks, permanent
Grade 1C SCP 9 £15,840 pro rata (unqualified or qualified to Level 3 in Learning Support; level 2 literacy and numeracy)
Grade 2A SCP 12 £17,436 pro rata, (qualified to Level 3 in Learning Support; level 2 literacy and numeracy; additional higher level relevant support qualification/s)
If required, Level 3 in Learning Support to be achieved within 2 Years of appointment.
Are you passionate about helping young people to develop their literacy and numeracy skills and achieve their full potential?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our busy, supportive team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide in-class support for students with a range of additional learning needs, either on a one to one basis or in small groups. You will help to develop their literacy, numeracy and study skills and in doing so raise their retention and achievement levels. You will need to adopt a flexible approach to your work and you will need to maintain accurate progress records and reports as you support students in achieving their learning goals and life ambitions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with our learners. You will be professional and friendly with good IT skills, adopting a holistic approach to achieve the best outcomes.
