LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (Fixed Term Contract – 25/06/2021)
Hours: 22.2 per week x 39 weeks per year (term time only). (These hours include some evening work)
Location: Based in Ashford, Surrey (The post holder will be required to work flexibly across all campuses, according to department needs)
Salary: £9,625.81 (based on an FTE of £18,515.02 BRK16)

We are an established provider of good quality college courses for young people and adults with learning difficulties and emotional/behavioural difficulties.
We are currently looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in our Additional Learning Support Department, based in Ashford. The successful candidate will have knowledge of SEND, recent experience of working with students who have learning difficulties or disabilities, have great communication skills and the ability to empathise with and motivate learners. Strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills are also required.
Working as part of a team of LSAs, you will be required to support learners in class, 1:1 or in a small group. You will be expected to support learners working at a range of levels from Entry to L3 across all curriculum areas, and so a flexible approach is essential.
An understanding of the needs of learners with learning difficulties and disabilities is essential and previous classroom-based experience would be an advantage.
