Our Further Education Construction department are looking to add an experience Carpenter and Joiner to the team, delivering a range of courses from entry to degree level in our industry standard facilities.
Working across a varied curriculum in Carpentry & Joinery you will support a number of full time and part time students to achieve their full potential in both theory and practical lessons.
You will assist in the maintenance and sustainable development of resources and commercial activities whilst participating in internal verification, auditing, assessment of student work and other quality monitoring processes. There is a lot of potential to grow this area of the curriculum and you will play a vital role in ensuring the College is best placed to serve the needs of industry and our students.
We are looking for applicants that,
Have experience of working within a trade environment or experience of working within the HE and FE sector
Are able to motivate and inspire students and provide evidence of ability to improve student satisfaction
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Hold a minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent)
Ideally you will be a qualified teacher, however a full range of teacher education programmes are provided in-house to enhance the skills of our staff.
