Lecturer – ESOL
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000
Contract: Fixed Term – Hours available 12 – 15 hrs per week.
Location: Ashley Down and College Green
About the Role:
City of Bristol College is seeking to appoint an experienced, qualified, enthusiastic and proactive Lecturer - ESOL. The position is part time and will be based at one or more of the following centres: Ashley Down, College Green or off-site.
What we are looking for:
You will have experience of developing language skills of adult ESOL learners in the UK and as well as awareness and knowledge of issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers.
We are looking for someone with experience of working with the full range of ESOL levels, preparing students for external examinations & ideally experience of developing literacy skills at Pre-Entry level. You will need to be confident working in a fast paced environment & quick to pick up processes and procedures. The successful post holder will be joining a large, experienced & collaborative ESOL teaching team.
The role carries with it a professional responsibility to build and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders at all levels as well as other members of College staff and students.
You will need to be available to start in January 2020.
