Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

About the Role:
City of Bristol College is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive Maths Teacher to deliver Functional Skills to our 16 to 18 and adult learners. When travel is needed between sites, enough time has been provided. The current timetable on offer includes one evening session and takes place over 4 days. Been able to start in January is a must.

“I can’t do Maths”; “I hate Maths.”; “I don’t like Maths, I don’t understand it.”; “My teachers have tried to explain that to me for five years and they couldn’t, you don’t have a chance.”; “Maths is rubbish.”…
“Wow! Is it that easy?”; “I get it now.”; “Why no one explained it in this way to me before?”…
Are you the one who can fill the gap?
We are looking for someone with experience of teaching students disengaged with Maths and who is confident in working in a fast paced environment, with changing priorities.
You will also need to be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders, at all levels, internally and externally, as well as other members of College staff and students.
