Lecturer – A Level Physics (with some BTEC Engineering)
Required: August 2019
0.6 Full Time Equivalent, Permanent (Potential to increase to 1.0 FTE if you can offer other subjects)
Salary: £23,255 to £37,000 pro rata
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated lecturer in Physics and Engineering to work in a friendly and supportive team in a thriving and forward-looking department.
You will have the skills to teach towards A Level Physics with some additional teaching on our innovative BTEC Engineering courses. Teaching and learning in this area is very strong and recruitment in the STEM areas are grown. You will also be able to become a personal tutor.
We work closely with an innovative STEM Academy, local schools and industry, and have a record of outstanding achievement.
Ideally candidates should possess a good honours degree and a teaching qualification. Experience of employment in the physical sciences sector would be also advantageous. The College is very supportive of new entrants into the teaching profession and we also consider applications from graduates who are willing to undertake a supported teaching qualification with us as part of their professional development.
