Lecturer and Programme Leader in Media
Salary: £26,508 - £37,833 pa

New College's vibrant media department is looking for a talented and energetic full time lecturer. We welcome applications from qualified teachers or applicants with relevant occupational experience who are prepared to gain a teaching qualification.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to any planning and preparation of the scheme of work in your subject so that it meets college and team standards.
- Deliver learning through efficient and effective classroom and online management.
- Monitor and assess learners' progress and maintain up-to-date and accurate records in line with college policies and examining body standards.
- Undertake administrative duties associated with study programs or learners, for example parental meetings, open evenings, report writing, or other duties that might become necessary.
Successful applicants will have skills in one or more of the following: media and film theory, television and film production, audio production, publishing, Adobe Creative Suite and employability within the media industry. New College are committed to providing CPD opportunities to all our staff so training in some of these areas can be facilitated if required.
A teaching qualification/experience is desirable, however, the college can provide training towards a Level 5 qualification for a candidate with a relevant degree and/or industry experience.

Please note an enhanced DBS will be required for this role. The successful candidate is required to meet the payment of this DBS Check, which is currently £44.
On appointment, you will be placed at the salary point aligned to a number of factors, which include, but are not limited to, qualifications, previous relevant experience, and current salary and market forces.
