Lecturer - Electrical Installations (Taking Teaching Further funding)

We are seeking an interpersonal and self-motivated candidate with Electrical Installation industry experience to join the Department of Construction and the Built Environment, and take part in the Taking Teaching Further initiative. As part of the team you’ll help deliver high quality teaching and learning to students as you in turn are supported to obtain your Level 5 teaching qualification.
This exciting new role will involve the design and delivery of Electrical Installation and associated courses to a wide range of learners, in both practical and theoretical settings. The job role will also include contributing to the continued development of the Department, providing tutorial support for learners, and carrying out the associated administrative tasks connected with the post.
The successful candidate will need to be currently working in the Electrical Installation industry (or have been within the last 18 months), and be able to demonstrate in depth subject knowledge with at least Advanced Craft/NVQ Level 3. It would be desirable to have qualifications related to construction/building services, and able to use Microsoft Office or willing to learn.
