Lecturer – Equine (Higher Education)
Salary: £24,271.00 - £30,263.00

There is now a vacancy for an experienced Equine Therapies Lecturer within the Higher Education Department here at Moulton. This role will provide vital support to our students who are committed to developing their careers within the equine industry.
Our equestrian students make use of a range of fantastic practical resources as an important part of their course. These include a 60m x 40m indoor riding arena with spectator seating and judges area, stabling for up to 60 horses and two outdoor riding arenas. There is an on-site equine veterinary practice, and with its own equine hydrotherapy pool and water treadmill these complete an impressive array of facilities for use by students studying rehabilitation and therapy courses. Equestrian students also have the opportunity to join the Dressage Academy or Show Jumping Academy. Whilst lectures takes place in a dedicated, modern, purpose built HE teaching block.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent (possibly with a post graduate qualification) within equine or a related discipline. Applicants should hold or be prepared to work towards, and achieve, fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and have obtained a minimum of grade C or equivalent in GCSE English & Maths. Candidates will be committed to, and have evidence of, relevant recent CPD.
Main duties will include the teaching and training of students and other client groups to quality standards set by the college, tutoring and management of one or more courses or groups of students, along with development of our equine courses. However as a flexible team player the successful applicant will also be prepared to teach on other animal courses if required. Further requirements of this role would include participation in internal moderation, auditing and other quality monitoring processes to ensure learners, customers and clients receive exemplary service.
