Lecturer in A Level Maths (Truro)
£24,586 - £36,508 per annum

We are looking for two vibrant and committed lecturers at our Truro Campus who will combine appropriate academic and teaching qualifications with the ability to inspire students and maintain excellent working relationships in a successful Maths department. This post will have a particular remit for A Level Maths delivery, although there may be a need for the successful candidates to contribute to other aspects of the department’s work which encompasses Further Maths, Core Maths, the International Baccalaureate, Functional Skills and GCSE.
The department also runs workshop sessions to support all its students. Mathematics is one of the largest areas of the college with over 500 students studying the subject at A level. The College has teaching school status and leads the Cornwall & West Devon Maths Hub, of which there are only 35 nationally.
The successful applicants will be expected to provide high quality teaching on education programmes and contribute to providing an outstanding learning experience for our students.
We are looking for committed team members who work with confidence with a wide variety of ability levels and who projects enthusiasm for all aspects of the subject.
Applicants should hold a degree or similar professional qualifications and a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one. As well as teaching, the successful candidate is likely to have responsibility for a tutor group.
