Lecturer in Counselling (0.4FTE)
Havering – Ardleigh Green campus
£10,572 - £16,620 per annum
We are seeking an experienced, well qualified, integratively (Psychodynamic, CBT, Humanistic) trained and committed Counsellor and/or Counselling trainer to work on the delivery and development of Counselling programmes within the College. The Counselling Team are currently responsible for the undergraduate programme –BA (Hons) Integrative Counselling. Access to HE Counselling and level 1 introduction to Counselling.
The role involves teaching on all Counselling courses. All members of the Team are responsible for teaching across a range of modules, for the professional development of students, supporting students on fieldwork practice, course administration, consultancy, research and the development of new modules and courses.
A degree (or be working towards the completion of one), in Integrative Counselling is desirable and ideally applicants should be accredited by BACP or equivalent, or working towards accreditation. A minimum of two years’ experience of Counselling and/or teaching or training in Counselling is required. Experience of teaching in Higher Education would be preferred. A recognised teaching qualification is required, though candidates without this will be considered if they are willing to achieve this within a set period.
