An exciting opportunity has arisen within North Kent College’s Construction & Engineering department in the capacity of Lecturer in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics).
Salary: Spine Points 32 (£30,280) – 37 (£35,104), rising to Spine Point 39 (£37,251) with a full teaching qualification.
Location: The role is primarily based at the Gravesend campus, but the nature of the work will require travel to any of the College sites as required.
Working hours: 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday), 52 weeks per annum.
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced lecturers to teach, support, assess and offer guidance on specialist units from Level 3 through to Level 5 (HNC/D) on the department’s Electrical / Electronics Engineering programmes.
Applicants are also required to have good knowledge of and the ability to teach generic and multi-disciplinary subjects from Levels 1 through to 3.
Teaching experience, namely delivering and assessing (at Levels 3 to 5 ideally in BTEC Engineering), and a teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain) is essential, as well as excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
