About the role:
The role will be based in the Engineering Department in the Centre for Applied Sciences on our Angel campus. The Centre for Applied Science at Angel delivers a unique range of advanced and higher science courses and apprenticeships in Lab Science and Vet Nursing to 1100 students a year.
We are looking to appoint a full-time permanent Engineering Lecturer to teach on level 3 RQF and QCF BTEC courses and act as a course tutor as required by the Curriculum Leader for Engineering.
The main duties will include teaching and assessing BTEC Engineering subjects (e.g. Design and Manufacturing, Special Project, Primary Forming, Health and Safety and others) up to Level 3.
You will hold an Honours Degree in an Engineering related subject with demonstrable experience of teaching engineering qualifications. You will also hold, or be willing to obtain a recognised teaching qualification. You will be used to maintaining professional and quality standards, and keeping high quality documentation.
