About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Lecturer in Health & Social Care to teach Level 3 units on the Health & Social Care BTEC study programmes for 16-18 year olds.
In particular, you will be teaching units: Working in Health & Social Care and Meeting Individual Care & Support Needs. As these units are vocationally based, it is required to have experience working in the Health and Social Care industry.
You will also teach some Human Biology units at Level 3 e.g. Human Reproduction and Physiology of Body Systems.
The role will be based in the Science Department in the Centre for Applied Sciences on our Angel campus.
You will hold an Honours Degree in a Social Science, Biology or a relevant subject, have relevant experience in teaching these to 16-18 year olds up to level 3. You will also hold, or be willing to obtain a recognised teaching qualification. You will be used to maintaining professional and quality standards, and keeping high quality documentation.
