We are seeking a highly motivated lecturer to join our Media team and teach on a range of courses from Level 2 Media to Foundation Degree in Media in the School of Creative Arts.
Media is a very successful provision and currently is offered at Level 2, Level 3 and also Foundation Degree. The successful applicant would assist in leading courses and teach elements of all programmes. It is expected that the appointee will have Media specialism with industry links and experience.
We are looking for someone who is pro-active and innovative in their delivery to a range of students and who will add to the pastoral element of each course. Ideally you will have the vision to assist with developing the curriculum in line with local and national employer needs and developing innovative approaches to teaching, both classroom and blended learning.
You will need to be appropriately qualified with a degree and preferably hold teaching qualifications. You will have strong links with industry. You will be required to undertake a range of teaching activities, have excellent organisation skills and be able to lead and contribute effectively to team working.
The ability to use the Welsh language in teaching & learning and/or general communication at a basic level (or willingness to undertake training) is desirable for this post.
Applicants who do not hold a teaching qualification/assessor qualification must be prepared to obtain one within a specified time scale.
