Salary: £30,403 - £37,708 per annum including London Weighting Allowance per annum

UCG is the third largest provider of Further Education in London enrolling approximately 20,000 students in a year across 5 campuses. UCG offers education and training in all vocational areas a variety of levels for a wide range of learners. Both Colleges within the group are currently rated by Ofsted as Good and have a combined turnover of c£50m. We currently have opportunities for two suitably qualified and experienced full time Lecturers in Health and Social Care, within the schools of Early Years, Leisure, Public Services and Health. The roles will involve tutoring and course management of two vocational programmes as well as teaching across all level 1-3 provision within Health and Social Care.
The successful candidates should have previous experience working within the Health and Social Care Industry, with the background specific to areas such as sociology, psychology, early years or youth studies and Health and social care. You should also be familiar/ have experience with the current BTEC and NCFE/CACHE curriculums as well as the delivery of external assessment, and we encourage applications from teachers with a broad range of disciplines both in practice and theory.
You will have sound organisational skills, your ability to work cooperatively and contribute positively and creatively to a team is also essential.
You will also possess a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Diploma Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment. A degree is desirable within the area but this is not directed to a specific area. Excellent communication, administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a new and exciting team is essential.
