Leyton Sixth Form College offers a wide range of A level and vocational courses to approximately 2,300 full-time 16-19 year old students. We are presently seeking to recruit an Assistant to join our dedicated Literacy and Learning Department. The Library and Learning Resources Centre have a wide range of high quality resources and provide an excellent learning environment for our students.
You will support the Library’s promotion of wider reading, assist with enrichment activities and liaise with subject areas to ensure that our learning resources are used effectively. The role is varied and will offer a rewarding opportunity to enable our students to achieve their full academic potential.
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a supportive and patient manner. An interest in reading and knowledge of trends in adult and young adult fiction are equally important to the role.
