PART-TIME LIBRARY ASSISTANT
(Fixed Term Contract to 31 July 2021)
Salary: £6,503.28 to £8,671.70 per annum (actual salary)
(Based on an FTE of £18,515.02)
Hours: 15 - 20 hours per week x 39 weeks of the year
(term time only)
Location: Weybridge Campus with some travel to the Ashford site
Brooklands College is a Further Education College with two campuses based in Weybridge, Surrey and Ashford Middlesex. We pride ourselves in providing innovative and effective programmes for learners of all abilities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-orientated person to work as part of a small friendly team in our busy Learning Resource Centre. The working hours will be mostly in the afternoons although some flexibility will be required.
The post involves issuing items, returning items, filing and shelving of resources, enrolling new users, monitoring student behaviour, and other library duties as required. Experience of working in a library would be useful but not essential as full training will be provided.
We are looking for someone who can work quickly and accurately, sometimes under pressure and handling several tasks at once with excellent communication skills.
