ACS International Schools are recruiting a Library Teaching Assistant to work with the Lower School team at our Egham campus.
ACS Egham International School are recruiting a Library Teaching Assistant to manage the day to day running of the Lower School Library for our 4- to 11-year-old students.
The library collection consists of around 14,000 books including fiction, non-fiction, and foreign language sections.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- NVQ Level 3 for supporting and teaching & learning in a school or equivalent
- Experience of and aptitude for working with children of the relevant ages
- Enthusiasm for teaching and learning
- Initiative
- Ability to accept change with flexibility
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to observe confidentially
Principal accountabilities:
- Support the Teacher/Librarian
- Maintain positive relationships with students
- Respond helpfully to students as individuals, balancing positive direction and constructive criticism, to help students become independent and creative learners.
- Guide students to appreciate and accept themselves and others to help them to function effectively in group situations and to promote self-confidence and security.
- School philosophy, policy and procedures
- Implement school philosophy, policies and procedures, interacting positively and respectfully with parents, teachers, staff and administration, to ensure students receive a world class education at ACS.
- Keep-up-to-date and reflect
- Keep up-to-date with current trends and reflect on own performance in the classroom and own impact on student learning in order to continue to grow and develop skills.
- Carry out reasonable additional duties as required, fulfilling the needs of the school.

Duration: Until June 2024
Salary: £23,303.00 This will be on a pro rata basis.
