The Maths Department teach in a new purpose built Maths block with seven teaching rooms (officially opened June 2013), as well as in two extra classrooms next to the Maths block. All classrooms are fitted with projectors and interactive whiteboards. The department is well resourced with textbooks, practical equipment and electronic materials. The use of ICT in lessons is very much encouraged. We subscribe to Mymaths, Kerboodle and Mathswatch.
The Maths and Computing Department is an enthusiastic and mutually supportive team with a healthy mix of experience and backgrounds. St Laurence is a school where induction arrangements are well established especially for staff new to the profession. The Maths team also provide placement opportunities for trainee teachers each year.
Both experienced teachers and NQTs are welcome to apply.
The successful candidate must be able to teach to GCSE and A Level
