Due to a retirement, Sutton Tuition and Reintegration Service (STARS) has an exciting and rare opportunity for a highly skilled full or part time Maths teacher to join their creative, dedicated and well resoured staff team. STARS, which has recently been judged as outstanding in all areas by Ofsted, works with children and young people with complex medical needs who are unable, either temporarily or longer term, to access their mainstream school. The majority of pupils attend the Drapers Centre in Carshalton where they are able to access the curriculum in small groups in a nurturing and therapeutic setting. Lessons are support by teaching assistants and are well resourced. ther pupils may receive 1-1 individual tuition at various sites within the London Borough of Sutton including the school room at the Royal Marsden. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals wishing to make a real difference to young people’s lives.

Proven ability as a school teacher is essential as well as experience of teaching Maths or an associated subject at both KS3 and KS4. (Experience in an SEN setting is not required and we particularly welcome applications from mainstream settings.)
