The Complete Works is looking for an Onsite Leader to join our Shoreditch team.
TCW is a charity led Independent School and offers education to young people of all ages and abilities who are unable to access mainstream education. The reasons for their enrolment at our school are varied including social, emotional, behavioural and medical needs.
Under the banner of ‘Learning Creatively, Achieving Academically’ TCW recruit our staff from a variety of backgrounds, all of whom are committed to using their expertise to support the young people to build on the skills that they already possess. Our teaching staff undergo a rigorous training programme so they can develop their teaching practice, in order to meet the varying and ever-changing needs of our TCW students. With these skills, we are able to offer tailored learning to meet the needs of all our students.
This is achieved in small groups or individual one-to-one sessions, which may take place in libraries, student homes or one of our centres. All staff, whether teaching or administrative, must, therefore, be adaptable and resilient.
You would be responsible for delivering up to 5 sessions per week and ensuring there is a smooth running of the centre and that all staff/students feel supported. The Centre is a 1-to-1 provision and most of the cohort have EHC Plans for SEMH. All our teachers need an absolute commitment to raising students’ attainment, delivering high-quality teaching challenging, and engaging all students, and differentiating for the student's complex needs and overseeing their pastoral welfare. In particular, you will need to ensure the team are supportive of one another and guide the teacher in delivering an outstanding service to our student and their families.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an excellent understanding of leadership and management skills, be a role model to other staff and students, deliver engaging lessons and promote our TCW ethos. All while maintaining a good sense of humour!
If you would like to join our creative team and make a difference in young people’s lives, please request a job description.
