Part Time Lecturer. ESOL. Sessional hours. Temporary (1 year contract).
Various hours available: Monday to Friday (daytime and evening) and Saturday only.
The curriculum area of ESOL is seeking to recruit sessional lecturing staff to teach on a range of ESOL and Vocational Skills courses, at various ESOL and employer venues. The courses range from Pre-Entry to Level 2 in reading, writing, speaking and listening, maths and ICT.
The adaptation and implementation of College systems with a view to making high quality learning accessible to all ESOL students as well as monitoring their impact on individual students and their learning is one of the key features of this role.
The successful applicant must have relevant experience in teaching ESOL courses. A proven track record of working with students of different ages and abilities, assessing their language level, preparing and reviewing their Individual Learning Plans and completing all relevant enrolment, assessment and progression related documentation will be essential.
Applicants will hold a full teaching qualification, if you hold an additional ESOL specific qualification this would be an advantage. You will also be required to hold a minimum Level 2 in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent).
You must be able to travel to various venues to teach classes and to conduct initial and summative assessments. Some of the workplace based teaching hours will be outside of the normal work day pattern as the classes are set up to support the shift patterns of employees.
