Part Time Lecturer in Security (Door Supervisor). City Skills Centre. (Sessional hours)
As a result of our continued success delivering training to unemployed adults we are looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic tutor to deliver Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry.
Working hours to be agreed with the City Skills Centre Manager, on a course by course basis.
You will develop session plans to meet individual learner needs and deliver innovative sessions that will motivate some of the most disadvantaged adults. You will have a flexible approach to working and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet assessment deadlines and timely completion of paperwork. You will also have the ability to deliver blended or online learning or willingness to acquire the skills will also be required.
The successful candidate will need to have the following:
Significant relevant frontline operational security experience.
A recognised teaching or training qualification at Level 3 or above or willing to work towards a qualification.
Level 2 qualification or equivalent in maths and English.
A good level of general IT skills.
Experience of delivering training to adult learners.
A recognised Level 3 Conflict Management qalification and certificate / licence agreement to deliver physical intervention.
A current First Aid at Work Qualification.
Candidates will be expected to attend ongoing training and development activities to maintain competence in teaching practice and the subject area.
