The Department of Creative Arts is currently seeking an Assessor for our Apprenticeships in Live Events and Technical Theatre, to support our current and growing caseload of apprentices on a?permanent fractional?basis. This post will be based at our Trowbridge campus, and it is anticipated that this role could grow. The main purpose of this role is to provide an outstanding student experience through work-based teaching, learning and assessment, enabling students to maximise their potential in the Performing Arts industry. Within this role your main responsibilities will include maintaining effective partnerships with employers and their learners, building relationships with curriculum teams, carrying out regular health and safety monitoring of learner environments and ensuring compliance with the college and other authorities with respect to policy and procedures associated with teaching, learning and assessment. You will also be expected to motivate apprentices to produce evidence required and achieve qualifications in a timely fashion by the agreed end date, ensure that learning environments are safe, and that learner start, review and completion paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant Creative Arts qualification and / or have substantial experience in the Performing Arts industry. Assessor qualifications are desirable, but training can be provided as part of the role if necessary. With an enthusiastic and engaging approach, you will have the ability to motivate students and support them to achieve their potential, ideally you should have experience of motivating and supporting young people aged 16-25. The role will include the delivery of some practical workshops and regular travel to visit our apprentices, so a driving license is essential. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver our apprenticeship qualification to creative individuals working in the industry.
