Job Title: Post 16 Life-skills Tutor
Pay Range: SO1 (3 days Wed-Fri 19.5 hours) Term time only + 5 training days
The school would consider a Full Time position for the right candidate
Fixed term contract initially until 31/12/2021
Responsible to: 14-19 TLR
Responsible for: Planning, assessing and delivering a bespoke, relevant and dynamic life skills programme differentiated to individual learning needs within the whole Post 16 cohort.
Role:
To work under the guidance of 14-19 TLR and alongside the Post 16 Teachers to develop the Life Skills Tutor role to maximise the potential of all learners on our learning to live and learning to earn foundation programmes.
This role involves ensuring a work-related learning and independence programme for all post 16 learners is accessible and inclusive. Offering opportunities to develop transferrable skills in the class room, community and work placed settings as well as contributing to our new home management and employability centre of excellence facility.
Working within an experienced and highly motivated team the successful candidate will ensure that all learning is underpinned by appropriate and meaningful Careers and Guidance and support our learners to take the next steps towards an independent and fulfilling life.

To contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school, developing the SILC into a centre of excellence and expertise within the West wedge.
